(Washington, DC)  —  DC Councilman Harry Thomas Jr., who is facing corruption charges, is reportedly being urged to give up his position as chairman of the economic development committee.  WRC-TV reports that DC Council Chairman Kwame Brown held a private council meeting yesterday following accusations made by the District attorney general that Thomas used 300-thousand-dollars in government money for his own personal use. Thomas is not commenting on the allegations.
