(Washington, DC) — Metro will be closing four stations on the Orange and Blue lines this holiday weekend in order for crews to complete a large amount of work. The transit agency’s Steven Taubenkibel says there will be no service between Federal Center Southwest and Minnesota Avenue on the Orange Line and Benning Road on the Blue Line from 10:00 tonight until the midnight closing on Monday, Memorial Day. Crews will upgrade tracks, lay down cell phone cable, repair escalators and elevators and repair an aerial structure.
