Kirk Cousins has been the Quarterback of Washington’s Home Team for the past 3 years. He made $26 million dollars the last two seasons on one year contracts. They could not reach a long term deal because Cousins wanted more than $30 million dollars a year.
So without an agreement, the Hometeam has traded for a Franchise Quarterback in Kansas City Chiefs Alex Smith.
It is reported that he signed a 4 year deal for $94 million dollars with $78 million guaranteed.
The Burgundy and Gold reportedly have a new franchise quarterback: Multiple sources report that the Kansas City Chiefs have traded Alex Smith to the Washington Football Team.
The Chiefs will get a third-round pick and cornerback Kendall Fuller as part of the trade.
The deal won’t be official until March 14.
