It came down to 5 games for a best of seven series for the Golden State Warriors as they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1 for the Coveted NBA Championship Crown.
Prince George’s County’s Kevin Durant, considered by many to be the second best player in the NBA ended up being the best player for the Winners after taking home the Most Valuable Player Award in the Championship series.
Durant ended the finals game with 39 points, seven rebounds and five assist and some MVP hardware. It may also be noted that Kevin Durant became the first play since Shaquille O’Neil with five straight 30-point games in a Championship series.
Congratulations to hometown hero “Kevin Durant” and the Golden State Warriors – the new NBA World Champions.
