If you live in the State of Maine or you’re contemplating moving to Maine, here’s something to think about.

As of this past Monday, the Federal Government will no longer accept your driver’s licenses as a form of identification.

What does that mean?  That mean’s that you will not be able to get into different buildings and locations; and military installations.

Starting next year, this law will take a step higher; your driver’s license will not get you on a commercial airline.

There is a government law that requires specific information on the driver’s license, but Maine refuses to comply with that law – It’s called “The Real ID Act.”

So as of Monday, people living in Maine must use their Passports.
