A Department of Homeland Security employee became the subject of his own agency’s purpose.  To guard the Homeland!!

Jonathan Wienke, a Homeland Security employed pleaded guilty on Wednesday in Federal Court to illegally making a firearm.

Court Papers allege that Jonathan Wienke walked into his own building carrying a backpack with a knife, infrared camera, pepper spray and handcuffs.  He was also carrying a gun in his pocket.  Authorities later found ingredients for explosives and gun silencers at his home in West Virginia.

He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000, but prosecutors agreed to recommend a lesser sentence.
