While the Gospel and Christian Community cringes at hearing any bad news about the Church or Famous Singers and Musicians, this day puts a shadow on the term “bad” with the news of an Alexandria, Virgina Pastor and First Lady.

Pastor Terry Millender, 52, of the Victorious Life Church along with his wife, Brenda Millender, 56, and Grenette Wells have been arrested for their alleged roles in a $1.2 million fraud scheme targeting church members.

Pastor Millender & his Wife Brenda operated a company called Micro-Enterprise Management Group with Wells as the COO.   The three promised investors what was supposed to be safe investments in their company that would offer short-term loans to poor business owners in small foreign companies.

Court documents said the money was used to make risky investments on the foreign exchange market and for personal expenses.  Some of the personal expenses were high-end cars and a $1.7 million home; prosecutors say.

All three made appearances Monday afternoon at the federal courthouse in Alexandria in front of Magistrate Judge Theresa C. Buchanan, charged in a Ponzi Scheme and Wire Fraud.
All parties are innocent until proven Guilty.
