In a much needed win and Conference matchup on Sunday afternoon; the Washington Home Team came away with their 4th straight win after dropping their first two games. This time it was the Philadelphia Eagles as victims falling 27-20. The Eagles had shown to be one of the league’s premier teams with their new rookie quarterback, but the Washington Team came into FedEx field on a sunny day and took care of business.
A few highlights; Eagles Malcolm Jenkins took a Kirk Cousins interception 64 yards for a touchdown to tie the score at 14.
Running Back Matt Jones, ran for 135 yards, including a victory-sealing 57-yard run on a third-down play with just under 90 seconds remaining; and with Philadelphia out of time-outs, they were unable to stop the clock. He then scored the final touchdown that proved to be the difference.
The Cowboys won big in Green Bay on Sunday bringing their record to 5-1 and sitting atop the Conference with the Home Team at 4-2 sitting in second place. They meet on Thanksgiving Day in Dallas.
