As previously expected; Maryland Republican Governor Larry Hogan has signed an Executive Order requiring Maryland Public Schools to extend their summer vacation to after Labor Day.  The move to extend the summer will put no less than $75 Million Dollars into the States Economy say The Mayor of Ocean City.

While the move is applauded by some, there are some in the school system that are not happy.  Some school officials are saying that while pushing the start date to after Labor Day, teachers are cramming a full year of teaching into a shorter time period.

The Executive Order also require schools to wrap up teaching no later than June 15 each year.
