APRIL 5, 1968 – After a night of rioting, “JAMES BROWN” — calms the City of Boston during a concert at the Boston Garden (by request of the Mayor) following the King assassination. The young Mayor had made arrangements for the James Brown Concert to be shown on Live TV, knowing that Black Boston would stay home and watch, and it worked; as crime that night was less than any perfectly normal Friday night in April. WHAT A POLITICAL STRATEGY!!!!
