(Washington, DC)   —  President Obama says he inherited the nation’s debt problems when he took office.  In remarks at a Democratic Party fundraiser Monday, the President said he was left with much of the country’s financial problems with deficits and skyrocketing debt when he was sworn-in.  He also said the economic woes befalling Europe are impacting the U.S.  The President also said he had a phone conversation with the leaders of Italy and Spain to talk about measures they are taking to tackle the financial woes in the eurozone.
