(Silver Spring, MD)  —  A three-hour standoff ended peacefully early yesterday morning when police talked an armed man out of his house in Silver Spring.  Police say 31-year-old Carlos Henandez was firing a gun inside the home on East Melbourne Avenue while he had his young son with him.  Two officers fired their weapons but no one was hurt and Hernandez surrendered.  He’s charged with attempted first-degree murder and reckless endangering.
