The Motivational Moment during Sunday Joy with Ronnette Rollins encourages the listener to get motivated for whatever they may face during the week. In this Motivational Moment, Reverend Ron Harrison talks about our “Check Engine Light”.

Our personal and work vehicles are equipped with computer chips and sensors that monitor the mechanical and electronic operating systems of the vehicle. If a malfunction is detected, a warning light will come on. In addition to the warning lights, it’s recommended that we always perform routine, preventive maintenance to keep the vehicle in good working condition.

As Christians, we have our own internal monitoring system: The Holy Spirit. Our conscious warns us when we are acting or thinking contrary to the will of God. Be careful not to ignore these warnings! The more you ignore the Holy Spirit, the easier it is to sin without remorse. The more you sin without repentance, the more you cut from your life span. True repentance means asking God for forgiveness and turning away from that sin. God gives us the strength to resist the temptation. Our preventive maintenance is to watch, pray and ask God to search our hearts and show us what we need to do.

Take a listen!
