2017 NFL Draft

The Washington Washington Football Team entered the 2019 NFL Draft as always with high expectations!!

How ironic were the Washington Football Team able to draft the one player that they had their eyes on from the start.  It was Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins; a Quarterback who went to High School in the DMV.

Haskins attended a local suburban High School call “Bullis School,” and coincidentally he went to High School with Washington Football Team Owner Dan Snyder.

We don’t really know if the friendship had anything to do with him being drafted by his Dad’s team, but in all actuality it probably didn’t hurt.

Snyder and team President Bruce Allen had their sights set on the Ohio State standout leading up to the NFL draft and didn’t even have to trade up to get him, getting someone they hope will be their quarterback of the future by taking Haskins with the 15th pick Thursday night.

DWAYNE HASKINS:  “It’s just crazy how small this world is and how you meet somebody and that can change your life.”   “That’s why I make sure I treat people the way I want to be treated, and I’ve got to do all I can to make sure that I leave a lasting impression on people. I think that’s (why) Mr. Snyder thought that I was the guy for this franchise. I’m just really excited for the future.”

Haskins joins a crowded roster at QB with injured veteran Alex Smith, longtime backup Colt McCoy and trade acquisition Case Keenum.  Alex Smith is expected to miss the entire 2019 season after breaking his right leg in November, and to my estimation, he is pretty much finished!!!
