It’s a week and a half before the happiest time of the year, but one family in Washington, D.C. will have probably the worst Christmas they’ve ever had.
A 15 year old High School Student was shot and killed by two mask men and they are still on the run.
The name of the victim was not released because of his age, but what we do know is that he was just 15 and attended Anacostia High School.
Police report that this 15 year old was chased into the stairwell of an apartment building and shot multiple times. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
D.C. police chief Peter Newsham called the shooting, which happened around 3:30 p.m., “heartbreaking.”
Chief Newsham: “We don’t want to see any life lost,” he said. “But a 15-year-old kid who’s going to school, a kid with promise?”
