You’ve heard the old cliche that VIRGINIA IS FOR LOVERS – well if that is the case, then The State of Maryland is for MILLIONAIRES!!!
According to The Wealth & Affluent Monitor, for the sixth straight year, Maryland ranks #1 in the national per capita when it comes to Millionaires.
Maryland edged out New Jersey, which came in second. Rounding out the top five were Connecticut, Hawaii and Alaska. Virginia who is for lovers ranked No. 8.
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Delaware and California rounded out the top 10.
Nationwide, the total number of millionaires increased by 6 percent to 7.2 million households. The number of multimillionaires — those with $5 million or more — grew even more last year, increasing by 8 percent to more than 1.1 million people.
