Washington, D.C. has two pro sports teams in the playoffs trying to get a championship trophy. The Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards. Ironically, they play in the same building.
The Capitals won their first game in the Verizon Center, but lost their second game, but only a few hours later the Washington Wizards played their first game against the Atlanta Hawks.
With great performances from John Wall, Bradley Beal and Markieff Morris, the Wizards were able to take game one in the best of seven series against Dwight Howard and the Atlanta Hawks.
Wall scored 32, while Markeff Morris added 21 and Bradley Beal chipped in 22.
John Wall: “I play with a lot of energy, a lot of intensity,” Wall said. “When I’m not being aggressive like that and into it, I’m not a great player. But when I’m into it like that, if I’m scoring or my teammates are scoring, I’m always going to be hyped.”
