Transportation Security Administration agents are finding more and more guns at Airports than ever before.

In 2016, a record 3,391 guns were discovered in carry-on bags at checkpoints across the country, a 28 percent increase over 2015’s numbers.

At BWI, Reagan National and Dulles International Airports in the Washington, DC area, the number of guns found at Airport check-in’s were up as well.  Sixty-seven guns were recovered at Airports.  Dulles and BWI both recovered 24 guns and Reagan National recovered 19.

The main excuse that people are giving authorities to why they have a handgun in their bags:  “My Wife packed my bags and I didn’t know it was in there.”  For men:  I forgot that I had it in there.
