Prince George’s County Delegate William “Will” Campos was arrested for accepting money in a bribery case; and he has pleaded guilty to bribery and conspiracy in a public corruption case involving the liquor industry in the County.

County Officials had called a press conference to announce his guilty plea, and U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein had announce that more legislators were involved in the corruption scheme.

At that same press conference and just one hour before the Legislature was to convene, 59 year old Delegate Michael Vaughn, a Democrat handed in his resignation letter.  His letter said effective immediately – citing “ongoing health challenges.”

The timing of this resignation has a lot of head turning in Prince George’s County.
