In what will go down in history as probably the greatest Farewell Speech on any level made by any American Black or White, President Barack stood center stage in the Chicago Convention in front of 18,000 and millions and millions watching on TV.

“YES WE DID” was the theme he delivered.

President Obama said:  “The work of democracy has always been hard, contentious and sometimes bloody. For every two steps forward, it often feels we take one step back.”

Mr. President tried to comfort the nation and put them at ease with him leaving office and having Donald Trump taking over as President.

In his tearful farewell, he honored and praised his wife Michelle Obama, then his daughters telling them that they grew up to be smart and beautiful.  Then at the mention of the name Joe Biden, he crowd and I believe the TV audience world went up in Cheers!!  He referred to Dr. Jill Biden as a true friend forever.

So as the President leaves office in 10 days, he promised to make the transition to Donald Trump a smooth one just as President Bush did for him.
