With their top Ace Scherzer on the mound, the Washington Nationals came up short in the National League Division Series against the L.A. Dodgers and lost 4-3 in a win or go-home situation.

After leading this game for the first 6 innings, the Nationals made a few crucial mistakes both in the decision-making and on the field.  In the sixth inning with a chance to extend their lead Jayson Werth was signaled home as he crossed third base and was thrown out by a mile.  Things went downhill from there with the Dodgers hitting a home run and eventually scoring 4 runs, and that’s all they would need to close out the Nationals at home to win the series 3-2 in the best of 5.

Now the Dodgers instead of the Nationals go to Chicago to play the Cubs in a series for a chance to appear in the World Series.
