Hometown hero Charles Ramsey can now have Mickey D’s till death do they part.

The man responsible for saving three kidnapped women who were held captive for nearly a decade is now getting a life-time supply of burgers from McDonalds, the same fast food chain that he picked up grub from before his existence was forever changed.

“I heard screaming,” Ramsey told reporters after the rescue. “I’m eating my McDonald’s, I come outside, I see this girl going nuts trying to get out of her house. So I go on the porch and she says, ‘Help me get out, I’ve been here a long time.'”

It was that unintentional free promo that prompted the Golden Arches in the area to give the viral online sensation an offer he probably won’t refuse.

“We want to honor our local hero with local food,” said Scott Kuhn, who operates four of the restaurants participating in the offer, told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “He stopped his meal midway through to help those women. We’re now making sure he has other opportunities to go out and fully enjoy his burger.”

Even Hodges, the restaurant where Ramsey is employed, dubbed him with his own meat-and-bun called the Ramsey Burger, a Big Mac spin-off. Chef-co-owner Chris Hodgson says it’s an 8-ounce burger of Certified Angus Beef, topped off with a secret sauce.

But now that Ramsey’s lifetime burger offer is public, can he get a side of fries with that?

“I’m sure some places will give him more — maybe add fries and a soft drink,” says Kuhn, “but that will be up to them.”
