(Orlando, FL)  —  A teenage runaway from Ohio says she fears for her life because she abandoned her Muslim upbringing and converted to Christianity.  Now, an Orange County judge has put her in state custody.  According to the “Orlando Sentinel,” the 17-year-old had been staying with Blake and Beverly Lorenz, the pastors of Global Revolution Church.  She met them through an online prayer group and fled her Ohio home to see the family in person.  The girl is not a U.S. citizen says she’s afraid her family will hurt her or send her back to Sri Lanka because of her faith.  The girl’s father was in court yesterday for a hearing that also included the Lorenz family.  DCF is coordinating with Ohio child welfare agencies to ensure the girl remains safe.
