Trump blasts Harley-Davidson in a tweet, Sunday, for its plan to move some, not all, motorcycle production overseas. They will still have manufacturing in the U.S. Overseas manufacturing will be for selling to European consumers. The company decided on this change to avoid paying high export costs due to tariffs which Trump imposed.
The tweet reads “Many @harleydavidson owners plan to boycott the company if manufacturing moves overseas. Great! Most other companies are coming in our direction, including Harley competitors. A really bad move! U.S. will soon have a level playing field, or better”.
