Aretha Franklin celebrated her 75th birthday this weekend! Born March 25, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee, she later relocated to Detroit when her father Reverend C.L. Franklin became the Pastor of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit.
The 18-Time Grammy Award Winner is one of the most distinctive and influential voices in modern music history. With hits like “R-e-s-p-e-c-t” and “Natural Woman “, Ms. Franklin has traveled the world, performing for Kings, Queens, Presidents, you and me!
