PRINCE GEORGE’S Co., Md. – It’s the mystery many Prince George’s County employees are trying to solve. Who is next to be laid off? A source tells FOX 5 up to 150 county employees will be cut.

The county says it is being forced to consider job cuts because of a 22.7 million dollar shortfall from the state of Maryland.

Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson will have the final say in who is let go. His office is expected to make an announcement as soon as Friday evening.

Even some County Council members are being tight lipped about the possible cuts. FOX 5 spoke with Council members Andrea Harrison and Samuel Dean. Both leaders refused to speak about the possible layoffs until the county executive makes an announcement.
