Sounds of Victory Ministries, LLC and Earl Bynum Ministries, LLC are collaborating once again to present The 2nd Annual Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA July 14-16, 2011. The Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference educates Independent Gospel Artists on the business of gospel music, motivates Independent Gospel Artists to make smart business decisions as owners and stakeholders, and inspires Independent Gospel Artists to be successful in both business and ministry.

Top gospel music industry professionals and Independent Artists including Benita Bellamy, Roderick Jemison, Ike Owens, Troy Sneed, and Monica Lisa Stevenson will conduct sessions on such topics as radio servicing, distribution, label ownership and management, marketing, publicity, promotions, tour set-up, songwriting, copyrighting, collecting royalties, and more. This year’s Conference will also feature networking sessions, nightly artist showcases, and the 1st Annual Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Awards, which recognizes Independent Gospel Artists in Ministry, Industry, and Creativity.

The Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference resulted from The Independent Gospel Alliance Facebook group. Sounds of Victory Ministries, LLC owner Phillip Carter started the group in 2009 to strengthen, motivate, and empower the Independent Gospel label owner and its Artist(s) through the power of networking, trade, and participation. A Stellar Award Winner and Six-Time Nominee, Carter explains, ‘This Conference gives hands on teaching to every attendee as to how to build not only a record label, but a sustainable career as an Artist. The networking alone at this conference is well worth the price of admission.’

Also commenting on the Conference’s attributes, two-time Stellar Award Nominee Earl Bynum, aka ‘Mr. International’ adds, ‘I feel that this Conference is one of the leading conferences in the country when it comes to assisting and exposing Independent Gospel Artists to the music industry from a business mindset. For example: how to break into the industry, how to get radio airplay, how to find a publicist, how to get a radio rep, and with the understanding that you need and can get these things to move forward, even with limited resources. We’re encouraging Artists to keep moving forward whether it be at the local, regional, national, or even international level. Don’t sit still!’

The Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference is a three-day conference that focuses on helping Independent Gospel Artists manage their music, career, and business. For more information, go to the Conference website.
