The news of singer and Dogg Pound member Nathaniel Hale a/k/a “Nate Dogg” has saddened millions of people all over the world. On many levels, this news is heavy because at 41 years of age life is just starting yet this talented artist’s unmistakable voice has been silenced forever.
Over the past years, news stories have circulated about Hale’s health. He suffered 2 strokes in 2007 and 2008 which took a toll on his body and left him partially paralyzed on one side. His friends like Warren G, Snoop Dogg and the Dogg Pound continued to keep fans and music supporters updated on Nate Dogg’s health.
Today’s news strikes the hip hop community and celebrities like Snoop Dogg, Daz and Ludacris all have sent out their condolences via twitter and other media outlets.
Nate Dogg’s legacy was a catalog full of unforgettable hooks, verses and melodies that have left a mark in music. His voice will live on through his body of work which includes collaborations with artists like Tupac, Fabulous, Eminem, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Warren G.
