The Civil Rights Movement was a historic time with a long list of remarkable individuals who fought, walked, talked and united for equality for all mankind. In addition to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. being a standout figure of this movement, there were many before him, with him and people who continue fighting.

There are many more unsung heroes who aren’t listed here but, we recognize and salute them. They all have made a difference and created a pathway for us to walk upon. It’s because of their courage, strength and determination that has allowed us to live in a world that’s better than they had it. Our world isn’t perfect and we still have obstacles to conquer but Thank God we’re here.
