Marvin Winans, an American pastor and gospel singer, has debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart this week, with his performance of “Forgiveness”. The song also debuts topping the Gospel Streaming Songs, meanwhile hitting number 3 on both the Hot Christian Songs and Christian Streaming Songs.
“Forgiveness” appears as the closing track on Justin Bieber’s seventh studio album, Swag, which was released on July 11 of this year. The song covers “Lord, I Lift Your Name On High”, written by Rick Founds in 1989.
