A former Maryland Police Officer in the city of Fairmount Heights, just ouside of Washington, D.C. is in soome real hot water!!!
His name is “Martique Vanderpool and he worked as a Street Patrol Officer in Fairmount Height, Maryland.
Vanderpool arrested a woman during a traffic stop at Sheriff Road and Cabin Branch Drive in Capitol Heights, took her back to the police station and demanded sex in exchange for setting her free.
The charges against Vanderpool, include first- and second-degree rape and second-degree assault.
The unidentified woman complied with Officer Vanderpool, and after having sex with her still gave her several citation tickets and then drove her to an impound lot to pick up her car.
Officer Vanderpool resigned last month, was arrested Monday and is being held without bond.
Fairmount Heights police Chief Stephen Watkins said in a statement that after receiving a question about an arrest that raised suspicions of wrongdoing and misuse of public trust, his department contacted the woman involved to gather more information.
