Tiger Woods will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump later on today; the White House has announced..

Tiger Woods who is 43, won the Masters last month, his 15th major win, and a day later President Trump announced that because of his tremendous comeback to win such a great event, he deserved the highest Civilian Honor, the Medal of Freedom..

At the time, Mr. Trump tweeted that he would present Mr. Woods with the award “because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE.”

The White House was reluctant to make the announcement at a time when the political atmosphere towards the President is not a good one, because for the past two years several winning teams have declined to visit the White House because of the Presidents policies.

The Baylor women’s basketball team attended a White House ceremony on last week, and once again the White House served them Fast Food!!

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the nation’s highest civilian honor. First awarded in 1963, it has honored achievements in fields including art (Norman Rockwell), architecture (I. M. Pei), acting (Audrey Hepburn), writing (Tennessee Williams), music (Duke Ellington), economics (Milton Friedman), law (Felix Frankfurter), journalism (Walter Cronkite), medicine (Jonas Salk) and politics (Edward Kennedy).
