A Baltimore Social Security worker is charged with trying to steal more than $236,000 from Social Security Administration by using fake identities and other people’s identities to file false claims.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Cheikh Ahmet Tidiane Cisse, 43, of Baltimore, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in connection with the fraud allegations.

Cisse had the Social Security Administration to pay about $87,000 in false claims through direct deposit, issue about $46,000 in checks and authorize about $103,000 in claims that were stopped before they could be paid.

He was indicted on 14 charges and faces up to 20 years in prison.
