Lesson Title: PRAISING GOD’S MIGHTY WORKS

Adult/Young Adult Topic: MAKES ME WANT TO SHOUT!

Printed Text: Psalm 66:1-9, 16-20

KEY VERSE: Psalm 66:1 (NIV)

SHOUT FOR joy to God, all the earth!

Source: Townsend Press Sunday School Commentary – 98th Edition, 2018-2019

UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

People marvel at the legacies of those whose powerful influence has changed the world. What is the true measure of might? The psalmist praises the mighty works of God, the creator of the universe and the Savior of God’s people.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

Only a fool would say there is no God. One glance at a sunset or a newborn baby would e enough to convince the skeptic that there is a God. The heavens declare the glory of God and the reality that we as humankind did not create ourselves. There is a greater power that is in ultimate control of the universe; this powerful God periodically sends reminders of His capacity to produce peace in the midst of a storm and to bring life out of death.

PRAYER:

Dear God, thank you for making a difference in our lives, and may we never forget to give you the praise for all that you have done. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
