Psalm 103:15-16 (NLT)

Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone—as though we had never been here.

Explanation:

The Psalmist compares our lives to mere grass or wildflowers that are extremely temporary. Next, we are reminded of how transient is the wind—here this minute and gone the next. Because of the temporary state of life, we have good reason not to waste time and to make the most of each day. Even though our lives are temporary, God’s love is everlasting! Every moment counts.
