If you wanna ask the question why? – it might be a valid question, but we gotta hand it to Nike, they aren’t afraid of the police, the NFL and the orange a-hole in the White House because of it’s controversial deal with Colin Kaepernick. In fact, the progressive thinking company just released a brand spanking new 2-minute commercial featuring the QB — and it’s slated to air during the NFL season opener. Dang, if that ain’t a “in-yo-face” hit on the NFL, we don’t know what is.
Anyway, in the advert, Kaep narrates inspiring messages about overcoming the odds while actual video of really inspirational athletes plays on the screen.
When it comes to Serena Williams, the controversial and out of work quarterback praises her as “the greatest athlete ever” — while throwing similar compliments at stars like Odell Beckham, Shaquem Griffin and the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.
