UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE: People are sometimes reluctant to show love and care for others. How can they be encouraged to show compassion for others? Jesus called Peter and all disciples to show their love for Him by taking care of His sheep.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:  Following Jesus involves concrete actions and demonstrations of love. As Christians, we are called to live with the assurance of God’s forgiveness and restoration and to understand that our lives should bear witness to Him at all times and in all places. Getting to know Jesus fully enables us to be effective witnesses for Him. Let us all use the gifts that God has given to us and bloom where we are planted. Let God be God in me and let God be God in you.

PRAYER:  LORD, thank you for the invitation to follow you. Help us to remove the distractions that we use as attractions. Let us press toward the goal of making you Lord of our lives and following you no matter the cost.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
