Recently, Washington, D.C. changed the logo on their Licence Plates and ID cards to say “District of Columbia, instead of “Washington, D.C.

Since that change was made, the Federal Agency called TSA have been giving residents a hard time getting thru airport security.

A recent instance of this occurred after Thanksgiving, as a D.C. resident tried to catch a flight out of Newark Airport in New Jersey..   Congresswoman Norton said the traveler almost missed their flight after officers discussed whether or not the license was valid before eventually letting them through.
Congresswoman sent a letter to the Administrator of Transportation Security Administration, David Pekoske and here is what it said:   “As I am sure you can imagine, it can be humiliating for a U.S. citizen to be delayed because a federal government employee does not recognize the name of the District of Columbia.,
In so many words, Norton was expressing that “she is not happy!!!”
