One day after the 45th Presidential Inauguration, what was expected to be 200,000 people turned out to be a number impossible to count. D.C. was expecting somewhere around 200,000, but estimates now putting that figure at 700,000 to 1,000,000 women in Washington, D.C. alone.
But what was not expected was the turnout in different cities around the Country. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver and many many other cities around the country and it even turned out to be a global event. Cities in other countries ended up having marches which made this event a Global Event.
Different speakers around the country and the world took to the microphone to give fired up speeches for women’s rights and to protest the bigotry of Donald Trump.
It was so big that the organizers were not quite prepared for such a crowd. If you have never dealt with a crowd that size you will have no way of knowing how to prepare for it and that’s what organizers were faced with.
To say the least, the 2017 Women’s March was a huge success.
