Weren’t we here just four years ago, when Jarvis Green, then a New England Patriots defensive end, let Eli Manning’s jersey slip out of his hand?

But Sunday night was different. Manning tarnished Tom Brady‘s majestic armor and made the New York Empire proud.

Super Bowl night didn’t start off well for the Patriots.  Early on, the safety net was taken away as Brady gave up two points in the game, which placed the ball right back into Manning’s hands for the Giant’s first touchdown.

But the tide would change as Brady marched New England into the lead with a field goal. By halftime, Brady and company were ahead 10-9. Afterward, Madonna entertained during halftime, looking like a robot pacing the stage for Valvoline oil — she was pretty impressive for a 53-year-old!

As Brady threw another touchdown strike, the second half of the game started in New England’s favor. The Giants kept their poise, though, and chipped away with a couple of field goals to keep the game close at 17-15.

By the fourth quarter, the game was thrilling as Manning performed another signature comeback in the final period, driving New York down the field for the go-ahead score by Bradshaw. With the Giants ahead 21-17, Brady and company only had less than a minute to pull off a miracle.

But it wasn’t gonna happen.

Ahmad Bradshaw scored the biggest — and strangest — touchdown. Who wasn’t waiting for him to take a cigarette out of his pocket and smoke it? New York proved once again that they are still the coolest state in the world.
