(Washington, DC)  –President Obama says life is no better for Americans since he was elected. However, in an interview with ABC News, the President cited steady progress in stabilizing the shaky economy.  He called the recession “extraordinary.”  The President also made a big pitch for the jobs bill he submitted to Congress, arguing that lawmakers cannot do nothing.  Looking ahead to his upcoming re-election campaign, Obama cited widespread voter anxiety and called himself the underdog.  He said the 2012 election will come down to who has the best vision for the future.
