(Undated) –Women who indulge in four cups of Joe every day could be less likely to suffer the blues. A new Harvard study shows women who regularly drink four or more cups of coffee a day are 20-percent less likely to develop depression than women who rarely drink it. The findings are based on data from more than 50-thousand women over the course of nearly 25 years. Women who already suffered from depression were not included in the research. The study focused specifically on coffee, but researchers say they had similar results when they looked at other sources of caffeine. The study appears in the journal “Archives of Internal Medicine.”
