(Washington, DC) — DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier says the city is now under a heightened alert after the news that Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed by American Special Forces in Pakistan . Chief Lanier told WJLA-TV that there’s been no specific threat to the city, yet there is a heightened alert level right now because of bin Laden’s death.
