Having fresh breath really does matter, especially before a date.  Dentist and bad breath expert Dr. Harold Katz says he’s not surprised singles taking part in a new nationwide Match.com survey rated it as their top concern.
Along with brushing, flossing and watching what you eat, Dr. Katz recommends chewing sugar free gum or using sugar free breath mints.  He also advises avoiding mouthwash that contains alcohol because it tends to dry out the mouth and can lead to bad breath.  Dr. Katz says smoking is another major turnoff.  As for Valentine’s Day, Katz says dark chocolate makes a better gift than milk chocolate because it contains less sugar. Dentist and bad breath expert Dr. Harold Katz says drinking plenty of water and chewing sugar free gum are good ways to avoid the problem.
