(Undated) –A surf shop in Laguna Beach, California is raising eyebrows with their unique Martin Luther King Jr. Day promotion . The “Orange County Register” is reporting that the Thalia Surf Shop was offering 20 percent off all black items through Wednesday in honor of the holiday. The shop also posted a digitally altered photo of King holding a surf board on their website. The owner of Thalia Surf Shop, Nick Cocores, says the promotion wasn’t intended to offend anyone, adding that many of the store’s employees and customers are very open-minded. He proclaims, quote, “We’re definitely not trying to bum anybody out.”
