We all have endured heartache and challenges over the years. But far too often, we focus so much on the bad that has happened that we sometimes forget the good. In spite of every challenge that you have endured, take a moment to celebrate the fact that you are still here and you are STILL STANDING!  Although your stance might be a little wobbly or you may need some assistance to stand upright, know that you made it.

The song, Still Standing, by Monica emphasizes the resilience, fortitude and determination that we need in order to endure life.  One verse in particular makes me want to jump up and scream YES! Every time that I hear:

They say with age comes wisdom and the WHITE FLAG I CAN’T GIVE THEM.”

It is the encouragement I need to help me hold on.  Let that be your mantra.  No matter how hard it gets, keep the faith. Keep fighting.  Don’t give up! Don’t quit or surrender. Endure to the end because we WIN!

Allow the excerpts from Romans 8:28-39 to remind you that you are victorious:

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39)

Keep fighting the good fight of faith! May the peace of God be with you!

Be encouraged!
