Learn more about Marcus Jordan:

Chart-topper and award-winning gospel recording artist, songwriter, and producer Marcus Jordan introduces new music with EP My Life. Released on February 3, 2023, the 6-track project debuted at #4 on iTunes Christian chart and #53 on the All-Genre chart. Featured on Apple Music’s Gospel Best New Songs and New In Gospel playlist, the title-track and lead single “My Life” dabbles in the world of hip-hop. The song describes the human experience of enduring hardships and making mistakes without allowing past failures to prevent progress. It celebrates striving for growth rather than perfection and encourages self-awareness and confidence. Marcus’ smooth vocals really shine through the length of the mid-tempo track.

Including songs titled “Champion” and “Trusting in God”, the 6-track EP is sure to uplift its audience. This well-rounded body of work offers a pleasant surprise with the inclusion of “Finally”, a love ballad reminiscent of ‘90’s R&B and fit for a memorable walk down the aisle.

My Life is the follow-up to 2021’s Call On The Name album, which debuted at #3 on iTunes Christian/Gospel chart. The album features the chart-topping gospel radio single and title track “Call On The Name.” Written by Marcus Jordan and produced by Rodrick “Bubba” Dowling the song has reached #1 on Billboard Gospel Airplay chart (41 weeks), #1 on Mediabase Gospel chart (45 weeks), #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Indicator and the Urban Influencer Chart, #17 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart (5 weeks), and earned a #32 position on Billboard’s 2022 Year-End Gospel Airplay Songs chart.

For nearly two weeks in January 2021, Marcus was fighting for his life in ICU due to COVID-19 and pneumonia. Even though circumstances brought uncertainty following his near-death experience, his continued trust in God never waivered. He continues to reach the hearts of many with his soul-stirring vocals, catchy melody, and constant reminder of the healing, deliverance, and soul-saving power that is in the name of Jesus.

Most notably Marcus has written and/or produced all of his songs including 2020’s “I Can” Lauded by internet phenomenon Karlton Humes (best known as NotKarltonBanks) the influencer gave a comedic parody of the song to his 1 million Instagram (@notkarltonbanks) social media followers. The video has generated over 212K views and 33K likes to date. Karlton Humes again gave a comedic parody, this time for the song “Finally”. Within the first 24 hours the parody received over 173k views and 31k likes.

Other notable songs include the Nielsen BDS Internet Gospel Radio #1 song “Give God the Glory” (2019), and “I Will Bless the Lord” (2018),

In 2017, his goal of becoming a police officer was finally accomplished. After obtaining his Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Marcus completed the University of Houston Downtown’s Police Academy. Completing the Police Academy led to him becoming a Houston-based Police Officer where he faithfully protects and serves students, faculty, and his local community.

In addition to his appearances at the 25th Essence Festival in New Orleans and the Stellar Gospel Music Awards, as a noted musician, he was afforded the opportunity to work with Beyoncé’s sister and recording artist Solange, while a part of the Music World Entertainment House Band. As an artist, he has shared the stage with Brian Courtney Wilson, Kurt Carr, Angie Stone, and others.
