A man making strides in the Gospel Industry these days is “FRED JERKINS”!!  After being in the R&B Genre for years writing and producing for a lot of well know artist, he has come home to Gospel.  He visited “THE WINSTON CHANEY MORNING SHOW” to tell his story and promote his new music.

This is his story:

Fred Jerkins was born and raised right outside of Atlantic City NJ and now resides in Atlanta, GA, a son of a Pastor.  
 

Fred Jerkins’s songs have sold over 200 million units worldwide, among them for Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary and Deitrick Haddon to name a few. 
 
Fred “Uncle Freddie” Jerkins III is President of Dark Child Gospel writing and producing for many of today’s top gospel artists.
Fred Jerkins is a 20 time Grammy nominated and 5 time Grammy winner; has been nominated for several Dove Awards, winning for Urban Song Of The Year for Kierra Sheard’s “You Don’t Know, Urban Album Of The Year for Kierra Sheard’s “This Is Me” and Urban Album Of The Year for Deitrick Haddon’s “Church On The Moon”.
Fred Jerkins partnered with “By Any Means Necessary” with the album “The Dolly Express” which debuted at #1 Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart.
In 2006, after almost 14 years of marriage, Fred Jerkins lost his first wife to breast cancer. This inspired several compilation albums benefiting cancer awareness, empowerment and education.
“A Project of Healing”, the first of a series of gospel and mainstream compilation albums will feature guest artists – Bishop Paul Morton, Jonathan Nelson (first single “We Won”), Lowell Pye, Darlene McCoy, Juanita Francis, Trin-i-tee 5:7 and more. A stage play inspired by the project is currently being written and directed by Kim Fields.
LAST CALL, a duo who sings the current (2nd) single “Victory” are natives of Bermuda and traveled to Atlanta to record the song. The song soared to #1 on Billboard National Airplay Chart, Mediabase Gospel Chart & spent 26 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Indicator Chart.
The current single “Go” features Trin-i-tee 5:7 is currently Top 10 on the Billboard Gospel Indicator Chart and is headed for TOP 30 on the Billboard National Airplay Chart!! 
“VICTORY” by Fred Jerkins feat. Last Call took the #1 spot on all three (3) National Gospel Airplay Charts (Billboard Gospel National Airplay, Billboard Gospel Indicator and Mediabase Gospel) in April 2019 as the first the song to accomplish this in 2019! “VICTORY” currently remains at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Indicator Chart for its’ 22nd consecutive week and #2 in the nation on both the Billboard National Gospel Chart and the Mediabase Gospel Chart!
