ABC 7reports that an MPD officer faces serious charges Wednesday night, as prosecutors believe he attacked and threatened to kill his longtime girlfriend.

Willis is assigned to the sixth district, and most D.C. residents we talked to found it very troubling.

“Obviously it’s a dysfunctional situation, and it’s unfortunate that he happens to be a civil servant,” said Stacie Rowell.

The victim told investigators that Willis had warned her never to reveal their relationship, or it would ruin his career.

Documents state that Willis attacked her first on the afternoon of May 4, then again in the early morning hours of May 5.

Prosecutors say Willis left to take his wife to a wedding, and then returned to the girlfriend’s home early Monday morning. There was another argument, and then a second attack.

The account reads: “The defendant assaulted the victim by pulling her hair and grabbing her and slamming her against the wall so hard that he caused damage to the wall.”

It claims that Officer Willis said to the victim: “I’m going to kill you and throw you out of the window!”

The victim then retreated to the kitchen and grabbed a knife to defend herself, and then the defendant allegedly placed a hand on his gun, saying something to the effect of, “Come on, bring it on.”

Willis told the victim that he was going to call the police, and that the police would listen to him and not believe her because he is an officer.

Those are just some of the allegations, according to the document. Willis is officially charged with threat to kidnap or injure a person. Preliminary hearing will take place on Friday morning.
