As the first African-American to announce her 2020 candidacy for President, California Democratic Senator Kamala Harris has decided to have her campaign headquarters right here in Baltimore.

Why Baltimore? Harris already has a strong presence in her home state and beyond, so the idea to place her headquarters on the east coast was a strategic move. And why not Baltimore! She will be close to the District of Columbia and hopes to develop a new constituent following.

Details have not been revealed on where the office will be, but in addition, she will have a second campaign office in her hometown of Oakland.
